VIDYA NIKETAN-The name itself is very meaningful
‘Vidya’ means ‘knowledge’ or ‘gyan’ and ‘Niketan’ means ‘house’.
On combining both the words, we can easily comprehend the meaning of Vidya Niketan. It is a house of knowledge, abode of information or a temple of learning.
VIDYA NIKETAN SCHOOL, a Co-Educational Senior Secondary Institution, affiliated to C.B.S.E. was established by Vidya Niketan Society in the year 1985 which was already working in the sector of education since 1968. It was established with a vision to provide qualitative education to the children with a very reasonable fee structure without compromising the quality of education. Since then it has been contributing its selfless services successfully for the cause of education.
At Vidya Niketan School, Faridabad, we offer the students a home-like environment to learn not only academics but also many basic things like discipline, punctuality, manners and many more for their holistic development and to mould their personality into a good human being. Any school is a primary source of gaining knowledge and direction in life. It is a social as well as a learning institution where the students are taught life skills through scholastic and co-scholastic activities and trainings. A plethora of activities are conducted every academic year to bring excellence & perfection and which further help the students to shine and do exceptionally well at district & state levels.
As regards academics, the school has been successfully producing good ‘results’. In the current academic session, the topper among class XII scored 95.6% in commerce stream and 96.8% in science stream and in class X scored 98.2%. The students also get a platform and expert guidance to plan, prepare and perform excellently well different professional fields too.
Along with academics, students are provided with a platform to exhibit and polish their hidden talents in various fields of scholastic and co-scholastic activities as instructed by C.B.S.E., State Education Board, different Government Organisations and as per the school activity calendar. Many a students have distinguished themselves in the fields of sports and games like Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Chess, Taekwondo, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Carrom, Athletics etc. by bringing laurels to the institution and holding positions at district and state level. Students also participate in other activities like Science Exhibitions, Quiz, Debates and Declamations, Art & Craft, Mono Acting, Painting, Dance and Music etc. Many students have proved their worth in these fields and won accolades by bagging positions at district and state level
